We are so proud to announce that every member of Success Academy’s Class of 2024 is college bound! Our seniors, all 98 of them, have been pioneers for their entire lives. It comes as no surprise that they were accepted to over 100 colleges — with over 50 of these institutions accepting an SA scholar for the very first time. The Class of 2024 embodies the best of who our scholars can be: Academic powerhouses with an average SAT that is over 200 points above the national average, formidable talents outside of the classroom, and most importantly, young people of deep integrity and extraordinary kindness.
Seniors, you’ve made an indelible impact on our HSLA community. You’ve founded a lasting school tradition in Root Awakening, our annual celebration of our community’s diverse heritage, and you’ve exhibited your artwork at global cultural institutions like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. You built a miniature Washington Heights and sang your hearts out for In the Heights, and you brought down the house in numerous spoken word showcases and ciphers. You won investment pitch competitions at Ivy League business schools, and you swept up medals at Penn Relays. But what we will remember most are your joyful and determined spirits: You were the friends, classmates, and students who stood up for others, brightened your teachers’ days, and always had each other’s backs. We can’t wait to hear your stories of the new challenges and opportunities in college. We will always be here for you, and you will always be making us proud.
The Class of 2024 is Success Academy’s third graduating class, and like the two classes before them, achieved a 100% college acceptance rate. We are grateful to the college counselors, advisors, deans, K-12 faculty, and school and network teams who supported our scholars to reach this day. Most of all, we appreciate our SA families who have loved these seniors, and have been SA’s steadfast partners in their education since day one. The fact that our seniors are all college bound reflects years of dreaming big, working hard, and persevering. Congratulations, Class of 2024!
