Ms. Cannella joined SA Springfield Gardens in 2017, where she spent three years as a fourth-grade teacher. She later joined SA Union Square and served as a fourth-grade team lead, senior grade team lead, and assistant principal. In 2024, she stepped into the principal role at SA Union Square, and in 2025, expanded her leadership to include SA Hudson Yards. Ms. Cannella holds a master’s degree in elementary education and a bachelor’s degree in English from Quinnipiac University. She has her New York Professional Elementary Teaching Certification (Grades 1-6). Ms. Cannella is passionate about creating a strong school community where staff and scholars feel motivated to reach their highest potential. Outside of her role in education, Ms. Cannella enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and trying out new restaurants!
